There's alot of preparation that goes into getting a home ready for a baby (don't be fooled, I'm enjoying every minute of it) =)

There are stroller compartments that need to be tested for weight capacity (looks like we're good for at least 15 pounds)

Baby quilts to be washed and line dried

Baby gates to be installed at the top of the basement stair landing

Car seats to be installed

I love this space-saver high chair. It converts to a booster seat later.

Her little Cozy-Coupe was just one gift from Aunt Debbie, Uncle Travis and cousin Sydnie and had to be assembled (harder than it looks, folks, trust me)

and, of course, personalized =)

And road tested by a willing 3 year old , who was fresh from a water gun fight.

Hi Virginia! I just read your comment on my blog. Thank you! Your Kerry is just beautiful. She is only a few weeks younger than Makenna. I am excited your trip is so soon. It is an adventure.I travelled with my Dad because my husband is deployed to Iraq until September. It is hard for both of us that he is not here but we are managing. We are in Middletown, where are you? I am hoping to get involved with the FCC group soon and maybe the playgroup they have. Hopefully we can meet up one day since our Jiangxi girls are so close in age.Good luck to you and I will be following your blog!

It is me! To answer your question from my blog, Makenna wears some size 4 shoes but one pair of size 5. She weighs 22 lbs and is 30 inches tall. Is Kerry a similar size? Makenna is wearing 12 month clothes mainly with a few 18 months.

Did you check all plugs for covers fix the one in the living room and make sure the safety latches are on the cabinets also add the protective cover to the back steps.By the way make Doug clean the bowl out on the front table she can reach it from the love seat. Also i love the baby gate that should work great for that space. OK now my rant is over. I am so happy for you both. ; )

How cute! What is it with kitty cats? I have one and she's always "helping" us test weight and space capacities too!
Gotta chime in with others- that personalized plate is too cute on her little car!
Very excited for you all. We were in China last year for father's day. So special to get your sweetie on the day. Praying for a wonderful time for you all. We'll continue to follow along if you don't mind!

Blessings-
Jennifer
