Things she's said lately =)

This girl of mine talks...a lot.  Before I forget, I have to write down a few of the things she's said recently.

"Mommy, I don't ever want to die, I'll miss the IPad.  Are there IPads in Heaven?"

" I'm serious-ing you!"  (when she really, really means what she's saying, ha!)

"I'm going to marry Nathaniel...but not until I congraduate and get a good job."

Kerry:  "Guess what my boyfriend's favorite color is"
Me:  "Umm, what?!  What boyfriend?"
Kerry:  "Alexander!"
Me:  "Ummm, and what makes you think he's your boyfriend?"
Kerry:  "Because he said he was."

"I know I'm only in Kindergarten but it seems like I'm, like....a 4th grader!"

"My leg hurts.  I think I'm having growing pains.  That makes sense, because my birthday is coming soon."

We have been having the coldest, snowiest winter since I don't know when.  Goodness, it's been brutal, at least for us Southern types.  I am not a cold weather girl so this weather really has me dreaming of warm sunshine, sandy beaches, and the ocean.  Ahhhh.

Kerry has been having fun making snow angels and even doing some sledding but I think even she starting to get a bit Winter weary.  The good news, though, is that the forecast calls for temps in the mid 60's by this time next week.  Yay!!

Daddy Daughter Dance.

Kerry and Doug attended their first Daddy-Daughter dance at her school recently.  Kerry was so excited!  She had been twirling the house for days in anticipation and she asked me if Daddy could "disco dance", ha.

Daddy might not be able to "disco" but they still had fun dancing the evening away and enjoying pizza and ice cream.  When they came home she could not wait to tell me all about the music and the disco ball and which of her friends were there, and you should have seen the smile when I informed her that I was pretty sure this was something she would get to next year, as well.  And after all of the dancing and excitement she slept like a rock that night!

On a related note, Kerry recently told her Daddy that she was going to marry him when she grew up.  So sweet =)

I've been happily married to my wonderful husband for 15 years. Two year ago we were blessed to welcome our first child, a Daughter from China and are absolutely in love with her.
