The love affair continues..

Ker-Bear is still firmly attached to "the robe", especially when she's sleepy. If we want her to fall asleep in the car, or if we know we will be out during naptime, the robe goes with us. Otherwise, it can get ugly. A nap deprived Kerry is a nuclear accident waiting to happen, we're talking meltdown of near Ch*rnobyl proportions. But as long as "obe" is in her clutches, it's smooth sailing into dreamland.

She still makes the little suck-y lips when she cuddles with her "obe". It's so sweet.
And Mama has a new addiction, too. It's called Picnik,....and it's awesome. I've spent the last couple of hours playing with some of my favorite photos of the past 7 months.
Like this one, taken day's after we brought Kerry home. I used the 1960's effect, complete with rounded corners.

This is the "Orton-ish" effect, I believe. She looked like such a "baby" in these. I can't believe how much she's grown and since these photos.

I just added a vignette around this one.

I can't remember which effect I used on this one, but I love it!

two different effects on the same photo

A recent photo, with the "Lomo-ish" effect, I think.

Oh my word, guess who's addicted! And those pictures are stunning. I let a big sigh out when I saw the one of her sleeping with the vignetting frame you did, because it is just precious and beautiful and there are not enough words in my vocabulary to say how it makes me feel.

So tell me, have you cut the 'obe' down in size or does she use it all? :)

It took Lilah about the same amount of time home to attach to something firmly. Now it's part of life and I love that she has that little thing she can turn to for comfort. It makes me happy, and of course, her too! :)

That's one of my favorite photos of her, too, Jill. And I do think she would notice if I tried to cut down her robe, just yet. She seems partial to the sleeves, even. Oh,well. I'm just glad it holds up to alot of washing =).

The pictures are ridiculously beautiful! But how could they not be with the subject? I love that she needs your robe! Makenna has a blanket that she HAS to have to go to sleep, and go in the car, and sometimes hold while she is eating. It is the blanket I brought to China and I wish I had brought a sturdier one or at least one that is not pink and white....it is so stained now:( But she loves it and it makes her feel better so oh well.

I've been happily married to my wonderful husband for 15 years. Two year ago we were blessed to welcome our first child, a Daughter from China and are absolutely in love with her.
