Kerry's encounter with the Big Bad Wolf.

Kerry is quite the story-teller lately

She tells her little stories with lots and lots of expression, too.  And once she starts, you never know where it's going to go.

 I usually just sit back and watch, and listen, and say "wow" and "oh really?!"  a lot.

She started one of her little stories yesterday evening and I decided to get the video camera out.  The following is a story of Kerry's apparent encounter with the Big Bad Wolf.  I'm giving this clip a PG-13 rating for some mild violence ( I can not figure out where she came up with all of the talk of smacking).  Oh and you'll have to excuse the runny nose.  Enjoy =)

As Mother's Day approaches I've been thinking about a very special woman somewhere on the other side of the world and wishing, as always, that I could thank her and that she would somehow know that the baby girl she gave birth to is doing well and is so very loved.

We've had a bit of an early heat wave this past week so Kerry got to have a little splash time at the water table.

And even got to run around in the sprinkler.

Eventually she decided the dogwood tree needed a little drink.

Then it was back to the sprinkler =).

Around these parts it's Derby time!  And in the two weeks leading up to Derby there are all sorts of fun family events to enjoy for the price of one Derby pin.   

Last weekend we decided to take Kerry to the annual Balloon Glow

Kerry was so excited that she got to get into the basket of the National Guard ballon while they fired it up.

Kerry had so much fun and has not stopped talking about the big balloons since!  She's even memorized all of them from the little guide book they gave her at the entrance.
