The funniest scarecrow you'll ever see!

Fall's finally here!

I went out to my Moms house over the weekend and got some of the first nice fall pics of the year. The weather was beatiful and the air felt crisp and clean and, well, fall-like.

We also had surprise birthday/ going away thing for my brother. He's going for 3 months intensive training at Ft. Dix, then he's off to Ramadi, Iraq. We'll be missing him and praying for his safety, for sure.

Busy-ness

It's been a busy 2 weeks. My wonderful friend and neighbor, Amanda, my mom and myself went up to Brown Co. Indiana and did some shopping. We always have a great time together and I found lots of Halloween decorations. Then this week my best friend ( for 25 years) came up from Florida last week. Jamie and I had a great time hanging out and catching up. We went to Bernheim Forest, Molly Malones, and we went out to my Mom's and spent some time with the horses across the street from her place ( I'm totally getting them spoiled with the apples and carrots). Doug and I also went to PF Chang's on Monday to celebrate his 38th birthday, and while we were there we met the nicest woman and her absolutely adorable little girl ( adopted 6 mos. ago from China) It was nice to "talk shop" with her and watch the little one ( and she WAS tiny) playing and running around.

And so it begins...

Well, we are on our way to becoming Mommy and Daddy. We have quite a wait ahead of us, from all indications, so i've decided to do what all the other China-adopting-mommy's seem to be doing...I'm gonna blog to pass the time. Our Dossier was sent to China on Sept. 21 so our Log-in date should be any time now. I'm bracing myself for the long wait and hoping for the best. In the mean time...we're just going to keep busy =). Just today I did something sort of commemorative and planted a "China Girl" Holly bush ( fitting, huh?)

I've been happily married to my wonderful husband for 15 years. Two year ago we were blessed to welcome our first child, a Daughter from China and are absolutely in love with her.
