Around these parts it's Derby time! And in the two weeks leading up to Derby there are all sorts of fun family events to enjoy for the price of one Derby pin.
Last weekend we decided to take Kerry to the annual Balloon Glow

Kerry was so excited that she got to get into the basket of the National Guard ballon while they fired it up.
Kerry had so much fun and has not stopped talking about the big balloons since! She's even memorized all of them from the little guide book they gave her at the entrance.

Oh so beautiful!! There is also a hot air balloon festival here every year and I'm bound and determined to go some year, especially after seeing your pictures. :)
Love how Kerry Lu is hanging on there! She seems thrilled to be in that basket!
