My brother is home from Iraq on 2 weeks leave so we've been spending as much time as possible with him while he's in. Saturday we cooked out and just kinda hung out at his father-in-laws home. We had a great day =)

I've been thinking of starting on a One Hundred Good Wishes quilt for our future daughter. Especially since Kim over at Three Peanuts sent me these two beautiful quilt squares.

It's DERBY TIME!

My Mom and I decided to drive down to Bardstown over the weekend to walk around and do some shopping. I found a little shop called The Childrens Palace. They're relocating to a larger shop across the street so everything was on sale =). I found this georgeous little Corolle asian doll. She was the only one left, she was on sale, so she went home with me. I love the idea that my future daughter can have dolls to play with that look like her. So far this is the third one I've found (someone stop me please)! And then I saw this little horse and caved (hey,it was half off). I like that it's a natural color and not pink with purple hair and glitter ( they had one like that). I have way to much respect for horses to do that =).

And Jamie sent me this! It's perfect and will come in very handy. Good thing I've got so much time left to start practicing =/.

Doug and I went to see Alison Krauss and Robert Plant last night at the Louisville Palace. It was pure magic =). First of all the venue is beautiful inside (no pictures allowed, dang). Then there's Alison with that voice.. perfection.. and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame for those of you who've been hiding under a rock since the 60's, still has it. They paired surprisingly well together (who'd have known). And the band..they were flawless and inspired fronted by T-Bone Burnett who is an incredible musician/producer/arranger.
It was a fun night, the crowd was really into the show, and even I couldn't help but sing along seeing as I know all of the songs =). You know, I've always thought it would be cool to sing with Alison Krauss..now I can say I have, from bacony 3 row P. (hey it still counts right?)

But first...we had to eat so we stopped in to The Pub ( I got fish and chips)

Then, we were off to the Palace for the show.

This is a shot of Fourth Street live which is full of restaurants and shops and and such.

Just a neat shot at night.

I've been happily married to my wonderful husband for 15 years. Two year ago we were blessed to welcome our first child, a Daughter from China and are absolutely in love with her.
